Pacific Curling Championships (PCC)

For men’s and women’s teams from the Pacific Zone. Qualification for the World Curling Championships: the winner, and if the next WCC is being held in the Americas or the European Zone, the runner-up, also qualifies.

Pacific Junior Curling Championships (PJCC)

For junior men’s and junior women’s teams from the Pacific Zone. Qualification for the World Junior Curling Championships: the winner qualifies.

European Junior Curling Challenge (EJCC)

For junior mens and junior womens European teams which have not already qualified for World Junior Curling Championships. Winner qualifies if the next WJCC is in the European or the Pacific Zone. Runner-up also qualifies if the next WJCC is in the Americas Zone.

Americas Challenge

For qualification to the World Curling Championships and World Junior Curling Championships. The second ranked Americas Zone association from the previous WCC and WJCC, providing they are not hosting the upcoming Championship, can face a challenge from any other Member Association in the Americas Zone.

World Junior Curling Championships (WJCC)

For ten junior men’s and ten junior women’s teams from the Americas, European and Pacific Zones. Some qualify from their final ranking in the previous year’s WJCC. Others qualify through regional junior championships or challenges.

World Women's Curling Championship (WWCC)

For twelve women’s teams from the Americas, European and Pacific Zones. The host Association qualifies automatically. The other teams qualify through regional championships/challenges. Teams gain qualification points for the Olympics in the three championship years running up to the Olympic Winter Games.

World Men's Curling Championship (WMCC)

For twelve men’s teams from the Americas, European and Pacific Zones. The host Association qualifies automatically. The other teams qualify through regional championships/challenges. Teams gain qualification points for the Olympics in the three championship years running up to the Olympic Winter Games.

Olympic Winter Games

Ten men’s and ten women’s teams: one from the host National Olympic Committee (NOC) and nine teams from the NOCs which have gained the most qualification points from the three previous Men’s and Women’s World Curling Championships.

World Wheelchair Curling Qualification (WWhCQ)

Open to mixed gender teams from Associations that have not already qualified for the next World Wheelchair Curling Championship. The winner and runner-up qualify for the WWhCC.

World Wheelchair Curling Championship (WWhCC)

For ten mixed gender teams: one from the host Association, seven qualify directly from the previous WWhCC and two from the WWhCQ. Teams gain qualification points for the Paralympic Winter Games.

Paralympic Winter Games

Ten mixed gender teams: one from the host National Paralympic Committee (NPC) and nine teams from the NPCs which gained the most qualification points from the three previous World Wheelchair Curling Championships.

The Continental Cup

Team World v Team North America. Twelve teams in total: three men’s and three women’s teams for both Team World and Team North America. This is a four-day event featuring regular Team games, Mixed Doubles, Singles, Mixed Skins and Skins games. Points are awarded for wins or ties in each discipline. The first team to reach 200 points is declared the winner.

World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship (WMDCC)

Open Entry: one team may enter from each Member Association. One male and one female player on each team.

World Senior Curling Championships (WSCC)

Open Entry: one team from each gender may enter from each Member Association. The players must not be less than 50 years of age by the end of the 30th day of June of the year immediately preceding the year in which the WSCC is to take place.
